Pisgah Gorge
One of the many gulfs that are carved in Sand Mountain as streams head toward the Tennessee River. Pisgah Gorge happens to be one of the more spectacular geological canyons with an unusual number of beautiful waterfalls, hemlocks and rhododendrons. I could spend the rest of my life exploring this unique place. (For more information, please visit Rivers of Alabama)
