Pascagoula River

The finest bottomland hardwood river swamped preserved in the South. We traveled the Pascagoula in the summer of 1993 with my son Bill Maynor, who was eight at the time. Still in college at Suwannee, Brad McLane worked as my river guide. The preservation is a great cliff hanger of a success story of something that happened against all odds. You should read the book, "Preserving Pascagoula". It can be ordered through the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (http://www.mdwfp.com/museum)
