Hunter worked as an intern this summer and had the seed of a large idea planted in his mind early on. He created a video that will be on my web site as well as many others sometime soon. In the meantime he is at Auburn getting a degree in bio/geography.

John Wathen is a good friend and creek keeper for Hurricane Creek in Tuscaloosa. If every creek had someone like John Wathen looking out for its health we would have some of the cleanest streams in the country. He is a powerful advocate and a darn good photographer.

Mark Bailey is a great field biologist, who started his own business called Conservation Southeast. He does a lot of work with the longleaf pine ecosystem. Check out his photographs, they are wonderful.
Tim is the most knowledgeable river advocate I know. He also happens to be a genius photographer and writer. His new book Rivers of America was published by Abrams. You can order this book through his web site.
Jim is a good friend who works with the Alabama Natural Heritage Program. I find that field biologists find some amazing things; Jim happens to be a really good photographer and can take advantage of the situation.

I met John Diener this spring while he and several other young folks were part of the team working on the Ivory billed wood pecker search. While he was spending so much time is a spectacular swamp he did some photography. You will enjoy this video he put together.

Bill is a newcomer to photography who took my 500mm lens and started photographing wildlife with a surprising vision and skill. I am working on a book on the Longleaf forest and Bill has agreed to work with me on this project through the spring of ‘08. As you may have determined, Bill is also my son.
